Chat Feedback: Rating Answers and Our Replies

When the assistant gets an answer wrong, rate it down and tell us why. NXT’s support team reads every answer rated down, and when we fix what went wrong we send you a note. This article is for anyone who uses GrndCtrl’s chat.

Under each answer in the chat are two thumbs: Good response and Poor response. A thumbs-up is one click. To rate an answer down:

  1. Under the answer, click Poor response (the thumbs-down). A panel opens: What went wrong?
  2. Choose every reason that fits: Wrong logo or branding, Wrong format or layout, Changed what I said not to, Didn’t use my file, Wrong facts or Other.
  3. Optional: in Tell us more (optional), say what it should have done.
  4. Click Send. The panel closes, the thumbs-down stays pressed, and “Thanks. We’ll look into it.” shows beside it.

The thumbs-down counts even if you click Not now instead of sending reasons. To add or change your reasons later, click Add a reason or Edit your reason beside the thumbs. To take a rating back, click the same thumb again.

  • We read it. Every answer rated down, from every company on GrndCtrl, lands in NXT’s review queue, Review User Feedback, with your reasons, your comment, your question and the answer.
  • We fix it, and tell you. When we fix what went wrong, we mark it fixed with a note to you, and the note arrives in your notifications.
  • Or we close it. Some feedback is closed without a change (a one-off, or something that is working as intended). You get no notification for that; its status reads Closed in your feedback list.

Our note arrives as a notification titled “Your feedback was addressed”, with the note itself as its message. It shows in two places:

  • The bell — the bell icon at the top of GrndCtrl.
  • Notifications — the card on your dashboard, when your company’s dashboard has one.

Click the notification in either place. The Your feedback window opens over the page you are on, so you do not lose your place.

Part What it shows
Status Open while we look into it (with “We’re looking into it.”), Addressed once we fixed it and sent a note, Closed when we closed it without a change.
Our note What we changed, and the day we sent it.
What you told us The reasons you chose and your comment. For a correction you typed in the chat it reads What you said, and quotes your message.
The answer you rated Your question, as you typed it, and the start of the answer, drawn the way the chat drew it: bold, lists and source markers like [1] included.

At the bottom: Open the conversation takes you to the chat the answer came from, and All your feedback lists everything you have rated down.

  1. At the top of GrndCtrl, click your picture or name to open your account menu.
  2. Click Your chat feedback. The Your chat feedback window opens: “Answers you rated down, what you told us, and our notes back to you.”
  3. Choose Open or Closed. Each tab shows how many items it holds, newest first.
  4. Click an item to open it in the Your feedback window.

Closed holds both the items we addressed and the ones we closed without a change.

The window says the details could not be loaded

Section titled “The window says the details could not be loaded”

“The details could not be loaded right now. Try again in a moment.” means GrndCtrl could not reach your feedback just then. When you opened it from a notification, our note still shows and Open the conversation still works. Close the window and click the notification again in a moment. In the list, “Your feedback could not be loaded.” comes with a Try again button.

“The details of this feedback are no longer available.” appears when the feedback was withdrawn (you took the rating back) after the note was sent. If you deleted the conversation, the item says “This conversation was deleted.” and keeps our note.

The list holds answers you rated down. A thumbs-up is not feedback we act on, and an answer you rated down and then took back leaves the list.
