Why Can't I See This Page?

Two things send people here: a page you expected is missing, or you opened one and got “Access Denied.” This article explains what each means and, more usefully, what to ask for.

If GrndCtrl decides you may not open a page, it sends you to a page headed Access Denied, reading “You don’t have permission to access this resource.”

It shows three things about your account, and they are worth reading before you ask anyone for help:

Field Why it matters
Email Confirms which account you are signed in as. If it is a personal address rather than your work one, that alone is the problem.
Role What GrndCtrl currently believes you are.
Tenant Which organization you are signed in to. If this is not your organization, you have landed in the wrong place.

Two buttons: Return Home takes you back to your dashboard, and Sign Out ends the session. At the bottom: “Need access? Contact an administrator in your organization.”

In order of how often each turns out to be the cause:

  1. Sign out and back in. Your permissions are loaded into your session when you sign in. If an administrator granted you access after you signed in, your session may not know about it yet. This fixes a genuinely large share of cases, and it is the reason the Access Denied page offers a Sign Out button at all.
  2. Check you are on the right account. Compare the Email on the page against your work address.
  3. Check the app is enabled for your organization. If the page belongs to an app nobody has turned on, no permission will help. An administrator checks this in the App Store.
  4. Check your group has been granted access. This is the most common blocker of all. Enabling an app does not give anyone access to it — an administrator also has to assign your group on the Extensions tab of Tenant Administration. Full walkthrough: Getting Access to Apps and Extensions.
  5. Ask your administrator, naming the page. Or contact support@nxtconstruction.ai with the page name and the exact message you see.

Knowing which of these a page needs turns “I can’t get in” into a specific request:

Level Who has it Typical pages
Signed in Everyone with an account. Your dashboard, chat, What’s Happening, Good News, Helpful Links, Company Calendar, Feedback, Submit Support Ticket.
Tenant administrator Administrators for your organization. Developer administrators pass this check too. Tenant Administration, App Store, Document Library, Integrations Hub, Conversation Analytics, Message Analysis, Admin Chat, Prompt Management, Tenant Branding.
Developer administrator A narrower group, assigned by NXT. The App Store’s Uninstall tab, and the Connected integrations and Audit tabs of the Integrations Hub.
App administrator Whichever group your organization nominated for that specific app. Tenant and developer administrators always pass. Good News Admin, Helpful Links Admin, What’s Happening Admin.
Feedback administrator A slightly different case: either the app’s nominated admin group, or a dedicated feedback administrators group. Feedback Admin.

If a page simply is not there — no error, just absent from the App Drawer — the cause is different from Access Denied:

  • The app is not enabled for your organization. Nothing appears for anyone.
  • Your group has not been granted access. Enabled apps you cannot reach do not clutter your drawer.
  • An administrator hid it from the drawer. The Show in App Drawer setting can be turned off per app, leaving it enabled but reachable only by a direct link.
  • It is not on your Home screen, but it does exist. Your Home screen is curated by your organization. Always check the Apps button before concluding something is gone — see Finding and Opening Your Apps.

These four things let an administrator resolve it in one pass instead of three:

  • The page or app name you are trying to open
  • The Email and Tenant shown on the Access Denied page
  • Whether you have signed out and back in since asking
  • Whether the page is missing or shows Access Denied — they are different fixes

When someone reports this, check in this order:

  1. App Store — is the app enabled at all?
  2. Tenant Administration → Extensions — does the app read “Not visible (no groups assigned)”? That state is the single most common cause. Assign the group and it clears.
  3. Tenant Administration → Groups — is the person actually in the group you assigned?
  4. Ask them to sign out and back in.
  5. If the page needs developer administrator, you may not be able to grant it yourself. Contact NXT support.
